NEWS RELEASE CHART INDUSTRIES EXPANDS PRODUCTION CAPACITY Garfield Heights, OH – June 22, 2005 – Chart Industries Inc. (OTC: CIDI.OB) Energy and Chemicals Group has leased an additional 36,000 sq. ft. building on 13 acres near its existing fabrication facility in New Iberia, LA. The Company is expanding its production capacity to support current vacuum insulated pipe (VIP) order backlog, and meet the increasing demand for Chart’s products in the global LNG supply chain. The benefits of Chart’s VIP product include independent piping designs for large, site-constructed LNG storage tanks, and the transfer of LNG for long distances from ship to shore. The VIP designed and fabricated by the Company is available in large inner-line diameters up to 48 inches. Chart’s shop fabricated piping system provides customers with superior performance and a lower installation cost than mechanically insulated pipe. Chart has the engineering expertise and flexibility to deliver pipe systems that eliminate the need for expensive expansion loops. The robust double wall construction provides a higher degree of safety and reduces the need for costly maintenance.
