CHART INDUSTRIES SELECTED BY AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS TO SUPPLY HEAT EXCHANGERS IN CHINA
Products Established for Contract with Wison’s Expanding Liquid Production Capacity

Garfield Heights, OH – September 19, 2005 – Chart Industries, Inc. (OTC: CIDI.OB) Energy and Chemicals Group received an order from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (Air Products) for several large high-pressure brazed aluminum plate fin heat exchangers (BAHX). These heat exchangers will be used in an Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Air Products’ new contract with Wison (Nanjing) Chemical Company Ltd. Delivery of these heat exchangers is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2006.

Once installed, these brazed aluminum heat exchangers will produce and supply more than 1600 tons of oxygen per day to Wison’s new carbon monoxide and methanol plant located in the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park (NCIP), Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The new heat exchangers will contribute to Wison’s ability to supply carbon monoxide to Celanese, a world leader in acetic acid production. Acetic acid is a basic chemical used in paints, adhesives, plastic bottles, foods, construction materials and many other products for the growing consumer markets.
